Turbo Insulation
A turbocharger is a forced induction device used in engines to enhance engine efficiency and power. It works by utilizing exhaust gas energy to spin a turbine that draws more air into the engine. However, an unavoidable issue that often causes problems for users is heat radiation from the turbo surface, which can damage surrounding components or reduce their lifespan. Even worse, it could lead to engine compartment fires. Using ZAVE® removable thermal insulation on turbochargers offers the following benefits:
- Available in various thicknesses to accommodate different on-site gap requirements
- High-density insulation with low thermal conductivity provides excellent heat reduction
- Non-flammable properties rated Class A1 according to DIN EN 13501-1:2019-05 standard
- Certified by European Flammable Test Report
- Exterior coating provides water and chemical resistance for extended service life
- High density (160-170 kg/m³) ensures excellent vibration resistance
- Easy to remove, reinstall, and reuse without special tools, saving maintenance time
